Life is too short to only spend your time in the four walls of your classroom, go out and play sports. Involving in sports activities provide many opportunities for children. Values that are learned in sports can also be a stepping stone for a child in reaching his goals in life. In addition, sports gradually build up a healthy body and energetic mind, a sound mind in a sound body. These are the values that can be learned through sports that are also beneficial in his academics:

Children who are involve in sports are seen to have a strong personality that comes along with discipline and punctuality. Involving in challenging sports teaches children to love classroom challenge and it teaches them to actively participate in class discussions.

Good sportsmanship is also seen to be a good trait wherein a child can learn on how to both win and lose as good sports, that winning and losing are both temporary and that they can’t easily give up instead they should strive harder.

Builds Confidence as well as having fun for children who hone their skills impressively, it gives them a sense of improvement and accomplishment. When they win games and expectedly move to higher levels of competition it permits a child to have their sense of progress and that they learn to value what they’re doing that also at the same time give them so much fun and satisfaction.

“Health is wealth”, children can function well in school if they have a healthy body and sports can be a helping hand to achieve this. Involving in sports doesn’t only gives fun but also your body benefits a lot from it. Study shows that being active in sports is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, engaging in sports have direct effects on the prevention of several chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, obesity, depression and osteoporosis.

Well in fact, the Report from the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Sport for Development and Peace states that young people can benefit from physical activity as it contributes to developing healthy bones, efficient heart and lung function as well as improved motor skills and cognitive function.

People who are involve in sports are also seen to be less tired as compare to people who don’t involve themselves to sports.

So, sports in student life isn’t bad at all, instead it gives you a lot of benefits, physically, mentally and as well as your overall well-being. It can also be a god stepping stone on your way to achieving your goals in life also with the guidance of your parents as well.
